Inspired originally by the Atlus game Catherine’s titular character, I’m shifting away from the messy dark lines of my previous makeup to a lighter, fresher look. Sure, from looking 21 - I now end up looking 16, but I definitely can appreciate the brighter things in life.
I’m using a light shadow (I’m using Dusky Pink from Elianto’s Lustre Shadow range) and Maybelline’s 2-in-1 Shadow Liner in Black, with my trusty Cyber Colors’ Ex Volume Waterproof Mascara (check it out on SASA). A champagne metallic shimmer shadow on the inner corners opens up my eyes, I’m using Urban Decay’s Verve - and this creates the doll-like eyes that I’ve been so in love with. There’s nothing on my skin or lips though.

#fotd is inspired by Effy Stonem from Skins.
Using a matte cream from the brow bone, silvery shimmer and Urban Decay’s Verve for the lid, black for the outer corners. Lined both upper and lower lids with a black liner while using my usual base makeup and just lip balm on the lips.
The varsity jacket is Rico’s while the cap belongs to Kris.

So today, I had a presentation to give to the new intake. While I’m pretty happy that college encourages us to dress as quirky as possible (while remaining semi-decent), my outfit definitely contrasted with how I presented.

Going with the whole grunge thing and to follow in with my “ugh, the world kinda sucks” attitude today, here’s my outfit. Forever 21 military parka and combat boots, a thrifted Union Jack top and my favorite UniQLO jeggings.
I checked outside though, and it stopped raining but it was bright as hell. Ditched the jacket and ended up heading to SS2 to visit Rico :) It was a much better day then.
Grunge fashion has recently caught my interest due to a fashion blogger friend of mine, Eileen (check her out here). While doing a few fashion shots for her, she mentioned that my style and attitude reminded her a lot of grunge.
Then we went to the Hello Deer (follow their Instagram at ilovehellodeer) Souk Ramadhan bazaar and I ended up buying a lot of thrifted/secondhand grunge items.

I’ve always admired a strong red lip and defined eyes - that’s why my favorite eras are film noir, the 40s, 50s and the 90s grunge girls.
